Pacific Sea Turtle Balsa EarringsThe Pacific sea turtle is one of the largest of the hard shelled sea turtles. What makes them different from other sea turtles is that they are exclusively herbivores. These earrings are designed by our artisan partners on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. They are hand carved and hand painted out of lightweight sustainable balsa wood. Each pair of earrings is carefully carved with a paring knife and then delicately hand painted with amazing detail.

A lovely simple yet elegant jewelry box - nicely made with a practical design. It has substantial weight and opens and closes nicely. This sage green color is muted with a matte finish making it soft in appearance. The gold closure adds just the right amount of interest. I placed a beautiful pendant inside as a surprise and together, these made the perfect gift for a 40th birthday. Would buy again!
